How do you deal with a micromanaging boss?

Proactive EOD summary emails worked. Manager had nothing to check on. Took about 3 weeks before they backed off.
The EOD update strategy is my go-to with every manager. It removes anxiety on both sides. Simple and effective.
Sometimes micromanagers are anxious, not controlling. Give them visibility and the anxiety — and the micromanagement — goes down.
