Best work lunches near KLCC — a running list from office workers

by Cheng Yee Lam·May 23, 2026

Starting this thread because every newcomer to the KLCC area asks this and the answers are always scattered. Adding what I know, please contribute.

My picks:
- Nasi campur at the basement of Suria KLCC food court, best value in the area, always packed for a reason
- Restoran Saravanaa Bhavan on Jalan Masjid India, 15 min walk but worth it for the banana leaf
- Wheat (healthy bowls) at Pavilion, pricier but quick and filling
- The various mamaks along Jalan P. Ramlee, reliable, fast, cheap

What to avoid: Anything on the Petronas Twin Towers tourist trail that's priced for visitors, not workers.

Drop your recommendations with the place name and what to order. Will keep this updated.

We have a monthly potluck where everyone brings something from their home state. Found out a colleague from Kelantan makes the best nasi kerabu I've ever had.

Office potluck is the real diversity and inclusion programme. You learn more about people's backgrounds from their food than any team-building exercise.

The politics of who brings what to a potluck are underrated. The person who brings store-bought cookies every time while someone else slow-cooks rendang is noted.
