Is the Malaysian youth unemployment rate misleading?

Official 9-11% does not capture underemployment, graduates in roles that do not require a degree. That number is much higher.

Underemployment data is real but extremely hard to capture. Surveys asking graduates are more telling than the official rate.

The mismatch between graduate supply and knowledge-economy demand is structural. Cannot be solved with youth alone.
