Job Description
This role involves working for a leading Asian bank with a global presence to contribute to the Technology and Operations function. The consultant will be based in a newly set-up technology centre in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on developing financial technology solutions to support the bank's core banking ecosystem, particularly in Local and Bill Payment applications as well as related payment services. The position includes responsibilities such as designing and enhancing applications, conducting code reviews, supporting payment and cash management solutions, performing RPG and DB2 programming on AS400 systems, maintaining applications, mentoring junior developers, supporting DevOps processes, and preparing technical documentation.
Job Requirements
6 to 9 years of experience in AS400 development with strong expertise in RPG and DB2.
Deep understanding of Local and Bill Payment systems (mandatory).
Exposure to Cash Management/Rate Provision or GIRO & Instant Payment processes.
Strong skills in code review and quality assurance practices.
Familiarity with DevOps, ALDON, and ARCAD is an added advantage.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
English language proficiency at C1 Advanced level.
Seniority at Senior level.
