Job Description
The role involves working within Seagate's Recording Media Organization in Johor, specializing in Aluminum and Glass Substrate manufacturing. The IT team ensures the security of factory endpoints to meet high standards for information and network protection. The intern will collaborate with various engineering and support groups to evaluate and improve security practices, align with global security metrics, and maintain compliance documentation. The position is located at a large electronics manufacturing site in Johor Bahru's Technology Park, which offers various onsite amenities and promotes community engagement through outreach programs.
Job Requirements
Familiarity with major operating systems and environments including Windows, Linux, and IoT platforms.
Understanding of security aspects and patch processes of major operating systems.
Possession of analytical skills for assessing endpoint security compliance and responding quickly to compliance requirements.
Basic knowledge of network OSI layers is preferred.
Hands-on experience with recent operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux.
Experience with security scanning tools like Tenable SecurityCenter is advantageous.
Knowledge of networking in larger multi-vlan networks.
Experience in vulnerability management and security compliance analysis.
Understanding of security patch processes on operating systems.
Relevant Diploma or Degree in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity is an added advantage.
