Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst - Intern is responsible for ensuring the security of factory endpoints within Seagate's Recording Media Organization. This role involves collaboration with various engineering and support groups to enhance security practices and maintain compliance in a dynamic electronics manufacturing environment.
Job Description
The intern will work closely with the IT team at Seagate's large electronics manufacturing site in Johor Bahru's Technology Park, focusing on the security of factory endpoints. The role offers opportunities to engage with various teams and contribute to the improvement of security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and support groups to evaluate security practices.
- Assist in aligning security measures with global security metrics.
- Maintain compliance documentation for security standards.
- Analyze endpoint security compliance and respond to requirements.
- Participate in vulnerability management and security compliance analysis.
- Support the implementation of security patch processes on operating systems.
- Utilize security scanning tools to assess vulnerabilities.
Job Requirements
Relevant Diploma or Degree in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity.
Familiarity with major operating systems including Windows, Linux, and IoT platforms.
Basic knowledge of network OSI layers.
Hands-on experience with recent operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux.
Experience with security scanning tools like Tenable SecurityCenter is advantageous.
Understanding of security aspects and patch processes of major operating systems.
