Role Summary

The Director of Sales & Marketing leads the sales department, managing both reactive and proactive sales efforts. This role is responsible for achieving booking goals and property revenues while implementing brand strategies and building customer relationships.

Job Description

Functions as the leader of the property’s sales department for properties with bookings over 300 peak rooms and significant local catering revenue. Manages the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts, providing day-to-day leadership to sales associates to achieve property sales objectives. Implements the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives, focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships. Develops and manages the marketing budget to drive revenue and meet property objectives, while interfacing with regional marketing communications for promotions.

Job Requirements

2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related major with 4 years of experience, or

4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields with 2 years of experience

Demonstrated skills in supervising a team

Lodging sales experience

Hotel industry work experience with a pattern of exceptional performance
