The Engineering Drafter cum CAM Programmer is responsible for producing detailed shop drawings and preparing fabrication drawings for CNC machine cutting. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring material optimization and precision in the engineering and manufacturing processes.
Job Description
In this position, you will work closely with project engineers and production teams to create accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla software. Your day-to-day tasks will involve generating cutting files and resolving technical issues related to design and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla software.
- Prepare fabrication drawings with accurate nesting layouts for CNC machine cutting.
- Generate cutting files for CNC operations.
- Coordinate with production teams to facilitate seamless CNC operations.
- Support project engineers in resolving technical issues related to design and fabrication.
- Implement policies required by the QESH system.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
1–5 years of relevant experience.
Competency in Tekla and AutoCAD software.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with QESH system policies.
