Role Summary
The Finance Intern is responsible for supporting the finance department in various tasks. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
Job Description
The intern will engage in day-to-day finance activities, working closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operations. The role involves a variety of tasks that will enhance the intern's understanding of financial processes and client interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Support taxation and audit activities as required.
- Liaise with clients regarding payments and invoicing.
- Conduct research on business funds and financial registries.
- Build and update tracksheets and financial records.
- Manage monthly reconciliation using Quickbooks.
- Assist with procurement processes and maintain weekly financial records.
- Handle confidential information with integrity.
- Take on additional finance and administrative tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional program in the final semester.
Good knowledge of computerized accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong capability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
