GFIT Intern, GenAI Software Development – Seagate Global Business Services (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

This internship role in GenAI software development is based at Seagate's Penang office within the Global Factory Information Technology organization. The position involves collaborating with a global Agile team to design and optimize AI-driven systems for content generation and requires preparation and management of datasets, integration of AI features, prompt design, model fine-tuning, and software development following industry standards.

The role is part of Seagate's Global Factory Information Technology (GFIT) organization, which supports IT needs for R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Equipment management globally. The position involves working closely with a skilled, multi-site Agile team to design, build, and optimize systems leveraging artificial intelligence for content generation based on input prompts. Responsibilities include preparing and managing datasets, integrating Generative AI features into applications using APIs and tools, designing effective prompts, testing and evaluating output quality, and fine-tuning AI models. The role requires development of efficient, testable code following industry software development practices and active participation in a SAFe Agile environment.
