Role Summary
The GFIT Intern, GenAI Software Development is responsible for collaborating with a multi-site Agile team to develop and support applications for Seagate's manufacturing and R&D facilities. This role offers an opportunity to engage in hands-on software development while working in a dynamic team environment.
Job Description
In this internship, you will work closely with a diverse team to create efficient and testable code, participating in daily Scrum activities and contributing to the overall success of the projects. You will gain valuable experience in software development practices and the application of Generative AI in real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement software solutions.
- Develop efficient and testable code following industry standards.
- Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and contribute to project planning.
- Support the testing and debugging of applications.
- Assist in the documentation of software processes and procedures.
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in Generative AI and software development.
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Research and hands-on experience with Generative AI in the software industry.
Strong enthusiasm and collaboration skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in programming and knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, .NET C#, PL/SQL, Javascript, Angular, Python, or Microservices.
Knowledge of relational database systems, preferably Microsoft SQL or Oracle SQL.
