Medical Lab Technologist – Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh

The Medical Lab Technologist is responsible for performing various specimen collection procedures to ensure accurate laboratory results. This role plays a critical part in patient care by maintaining high standards of laboratory practices and compliance with hospital protocols.

As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will engage in daily tasks that involve specimen collection, patient interaction, and data management within the laboratory environment. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures in accordance with standard protocols.
• Ensure proper patient identification prior to specimen collection.
• Receive, label, and verify specimens in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Ensure all specimens are correctly labelled.
• Accurately register patient and test information into the system.
• Comply with hospital policies, laboratory SOPs, and accreditation standards.
