Role Summary

The Quantity Surveyor (Site Costing and Procurement) is responsible for managing project cost estimates and procurement processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring financial efficiency and value for money throughout the construction project lifecycle.

Job Description

In this role, you will prepare and update project cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents while conducting site costing and tracking costs on a daily or weekly basis. You will also monitor actual costs against planned costs and provide regular cost reports to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and update project cost estimates and tender documents.
  • Conduct site costing and track labor, material, and subcontractor costs.
  • Monitor actual costs against planned costs and provide cost reports.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors based on cost and quality.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for materials and services.
  • Assist in budget control, cost analysis, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with site and project teams to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures.

Job Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or related fields.

At least 2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying in the construction industry.

Must be able to communicate in Chinese.

Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and site operations.

Strong coordination, negotiation, and analytical skills.
