The role involves managing costs for construction projects by preparing cost estimates, tracking expenses, and negotiating with suppliers. The candidate will coordinate with project teams to ensure budgets are maintained while monitoring cost efficiency and compliance with project requirements.
The role involves preparing and updating project cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents. The candidate will be responsible for conducting site costing, tracking labor, material, and subcontractor costs on a daily or weekly basis, and monitoring actual costs against planned costs while providing regular cost reports to management. The candidate will evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors based on both cost and quality to ensure value for money and negotiate with suppliers for material and services. Additional responsibilities include assisting in budget control, cost analysis, forecasting, coordinating with site and project teams to maintain cost efficiency, preparing progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company procedures and project requirements.
Degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or related fields.
Must be able to communicate in Chinese, as you’ll liaise with suppliers from China.
At least 2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying in construction industry.
Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and site operations.
Good coordination, negotiation, and analytical skills.
