Job Description
The Senior Economist will serve as a subject matter expert at the regional level, providing independent assessments to meet the surveillance and forecasting needs of various departments within the economics and financial sectors. This role involves developing strategies for advocacy and strategic communications in economics while supporting the Regional Head in driving the Bank’s strategic agenda at the regional level.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and recommending assessments on economic surveillance, leading strategic engagements with industry players and government agencies, conducting in-depth research to monitor economic developments, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify emerging trends. The Senior Economist will also support the Regional Head in various strategic initiatives and provide direction on performance, training, and research as needed.
