This role is for a Teller responsible for assisting customers with money transfers and related transactions. The position involves explaining remittance details, verifying customer identification, and ensuring accurate processing of transactions.
The role involves serving customers by explaining remittance information such as exchange rates, charges, and other terms and conditions. The employee is responsible for verifying customer identification, guiding customers in filing application forms, copying or scanning IDs for new customers, counting and checking the authenticity of money received, and inputting transaction details into the system.
Minimum SPM or Diploma in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
Basic numeracy and computer literacy.
Additional certification in banking or money services is an advantage.
1 to 2 years of experience in remittance, banking, customer service, or cash-handling roles; fresh graduates may be considered.
Familiarity with remittance systems such as Western Union or MoneyGram is an added advantage.
Strong cash-handling skills with high accuracy.
Good communication skills in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
Ability to process transactions quickly and accurately.
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and manage high customer volume.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.
