Role Summary
This role is for a UI/UX Design Intern who will work collaboratively with various teams to develop and execute design solutions. The position involves creating visual designs, wireframes, and user flows while supporting user research and maintaining design systems. The intern will engage in understanding user needs and business goals to inform design decisions.
Job Description
This role involves collaborating with Product Designers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and Product Managers to define problems and iterate solutions with consideration for users and business objectives. The position includes developing and executing UI/UX design solutions, handling all visual design stages from concept to final handoff, and creating wireframes, storyboards, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas. Collaboration, research participation, design system maintenance, data-driven decision support, monitoring user reactions, documentation, and ad hoc tasks are part of the responsibilities.
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelors degree in UI/UX design, computer science, human computer interaction, or related fields.
You have a portfolio of UI/UX design work which showcases your process and solutions and not just the finished product.
Relevant past internship experience in UI/UX design is a plus.
Strong desire and passion to learn about the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry and the problems faced by users.
Demonstrated basic understanding of design principles (typography, composition, hierarchy, proportion, patterning, color theory, etc.), knowledge of UX research methods, usability testing, prototyping, knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design and creative process.
Familiarity with how a design system can be used on Figma.
Analytical and can articulate design decisions very well.
Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative usability measurement methodologies.
Communicate clearly and have experience working with other individuals in a team towards achieving a common goal.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision after 3 months.
Has a strong sense of self-leadership, curious & creative on finding ways to improve existing projects & workflows.
Passionate about solving problems faced by stakeholders together with strong user empathy.
You love delving into new technologies and new ways of doing things.
Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, as well as frameworks such as Tailwind or Bootstrap is a plus.
Familiarity with prototyping with v0, claude or chatGPT.
Even better if you know how to style with Tailwind or build UI with React.
You have keen interest in cryptocurrency, NFT, web3, memecoins, and metaverse topics.
