Great environment and team members
Please hire more great people
- Great learning environment - Career growth - Exposure to FinTech - Recognition for performance - Supportive colleagues - Fair compensation package
- High workload during peak project phase, but manageable.
Friendly colleagues that willing to teach
High turnover rate and lack of leader in the team. No proper documentation. Insane timeline and expect employee to work like a slave.
Agile company that adapt new technologies every day and provide a very good opportunity for savvy developers to contribute and learn a vast range of technologies by developing large scale product for banking sector. Supportive colleagues that guide you through your career in addition to the training provided by internal and external trainers. Supportive CEO, COO and CTO that help you with your career growth plan and provide framework for constant improvements.
Sometimes the work might be overwhelming for some people especially during the rush phases of the projects. But that is not all the time. Let’s face the reality, if you are not ready for this better choose another field of work because this is true for all the companies in this field.
- Flexible working hours. - Some helpful seniors. - Great office environment. - Great start for fresh graduates to venture in financial technology field.
This place unfortunately has more cons than pros. - Work-life balance is tough because you're expected to work after hours regularly. It's hard to draw a line between work and personal time. Some seniors that were seriously sick had to attend meetings and accomplish tasks during their sick leave, leading to the next point. - Project timelines often overlap, forcing team members to work excessive hours and deal with stress to meet unrealistic deadlines. - Management focuses more on satisfying clients to make more revenue. If the company is making more money, why aren’t employees seeing it in their paychecks or benefits? - Consistently hires an excessive number of interns, which gives the impression of relying on cheap labor rather than properly investing in full-time employees. One month at least got more than 5 interns coming in, which leads to the next point. - Cuts corners on resources to save costs, which results in overworked senior employees and overlapped in project timelines. - Employee turnover is extremely high, which says a lot about the work environment and company culture. - Work smart, not work hard. The more you prove your intelligence and efficiency, the more workload is piled on, but your salary and compensation do not reflect the increased responsibilities or effort. - Benefits are far below what's expected for the industry, and there's barely any room for improvement. - Unrealistic and unreasonable expectations for juniors, especially fresh graduates with little experience. - Office politics are rampant—favoritism, cliques, and backstabbing are common, making it hard to trust the environment.
People - The leaders in the company are very selfless and very willing to teach. They spend a lot of time grooming juniors and taking part in the company's initiative to create a better workplace. They really embrace one of the main core values of the company which is growing heroes. - There are a lot of great like-minded people in the company. They are all very willing to share knowledge as they come from different background despite being a tech company. When I say this, I meant education background and even nationalities. Training - There are different trainings provided at different seniorities. Newbies, first-level leaders, technical, new concepts etc. - The training team is very nice and leaders will also volunteer to train. Work - There's not one day where I do not learn. If you love continuously learning, this is the place to be. - Every day is different but it builds on the skills I've learned in my previous work/task. - A lot of opportunities to share my thoughts to help the company move forward/solve problems. Others - Snack bars, company events, townhalls
- Office space can get quite chilly even if you are wearing a jacket. - It just seems like there aren't enough smaller meeting rooms.
It is a fast pace environment, where one is needed - giving you lots of responsibilities early allowing one to learn alot and quickly and have opportunity of growth.
Work-life Balance, Poor resource management due to no standard processes.
Nice office space at the Bangsar South office. Very Google type office that is impressive.
Weak management that does not care about their employees.
learning and hard work to push you
no work-life balance can be exhausted and lost in motivation
- hybrid is cool and flex hours is cool too - toxicity is low (at least my department)
- low pay - low benefits - high workload - 9 to 9 on site - low increment - bad management - no company events (only annual dinner)
