After many years with the company, it was disappointing to feel that employees were not treated with basic respect and empathy! Most of the work culture revolved around keeping management happy, rather than valuing or supporting the team

The management style is outdated, with slow decision-making and rigid hierarchies. The work environment often felt toxic, with limited collaboration and support

Toxic Culture: Toxicity permeates every aspect of the workplace. From management down to team dynamics, there is a noticeable lack of trust and support. Colleagues are pitted against each other, and there is a distinct culture of favouritism. Constructive criticism is often misconstrued as a personal attack, which makes it nearly impossible to have open and honest conversations. Old-School Practices: Pavilion appears to be stuck in the past regarding its work practices. Technology and innovation are met with scepticism, and there is a reliance on outdated processes that hinder efficiency and progress. The resistance to change makes it difficult for employees to adapt and stay competitive in their respective fields. Hierarchical Structure: The company's hierarchical structure is stifling, with decisions made at the top and little room for input from lower-level employees. This top-down approach stifles creativity and innovation, as fresh ideas are often dismissed or ignored. The lack of empowerment leaves employees feeling undervalued and demotivated. Work-Life Balance: One of the most glaring issues at Pavilion is its complete disregard for work-life balance. The company seems to believe that employees should be available 24/7, and the expectation to be constantly connected to work is nothing short of exhausting. This lack of balance has a detrimental impact on employees' well-being.

One of the challenges I've faced during my tenure is the increasing workload due to staff attrition. Several colleagues have left, and their responsibilities have been shifted to me. While I understand the necessity of maintaining operations, it has been overwhelming to handle tasks that fall outside of my original job scope. Despite my willingness to contribute to the team's success, I believe there should be a fair balance between additional responsibilities and appropriate compensation. My greatest disappointment arises from the fact that I've been performing tasks beyond my job description without receiving proper recognition or compensation for my efforts.

I’m one of the retrenchment staff

Low employee benefits. Almost total disregard to employee welfare. Non ethical working environment. Backwards approach to business management. Bad working efficiency. Many roadblocks, with non constructive feedback. Little room for growth.

High turn over rate due to poor leadership of management. Office politics, toxic and over pressure from director level. They expected you to on your laptop during your off day/holiday to rush a last minute request job for them. You will be questioned if you go home on time.

Bos is toxic and will push you to deliver more. No support even when informed that we need more staff. If there is one good worker who is productive / creative, this worker will be loaded with more work. No guidance, if do wrong, will be reprimanded sharply. Pay is below market rate.

Retail or mall industry are decoration and operation lead, not much of the functional design(in my opinion) to achieve here. In terms of the flow of work, when we got a campaign or event, we are tasked to come up with design, but without a brief or a direction; When asked for more clarification, we are to be said we are slow in understanding. When we finished the draft and sent for feedback, we will be in the wait for a period of time, and when the feedback is given, usually they will need the change in a rush, this is an indication of poor time management. Management has a always-wanted-win attitude and would just brushed the the previous comment or feedback, the level of articulation is low, hard to gauge what management wants time and efforts are often wasted

Over work, no work life balance

Where do I start, first of all, my boss agreed to take me in as a fresh grad.. even though the job description says 2years experience. She know how I zero experience I am yet she still expect me can learn everything in 14days. No guidance after that. She really downgrade you once she think you very slow and want you to resign. I still dont understand why she accept me in the first place.. if she want fast worker then just take 2years experience worker la. so dumb. JUST DONT COME. maybe other departments are okay. I think.

Did not enjoyed typical Chinese corporate world as most of the employees are less friendly as if other employees did not exist in their world. Honestly I am against the practices from Pavilion as they are not complying with 17 SDG which they should utilise it considering we are in digital era rather than sticking with typical old school working environment without any innovation. I don`t see any progress from the company to innovate something new to replace old school methods. For those who came from global company, I advise you to stay away from Pavilion or typical Malaysian/Chinese corporate world.

High activities, great demand on job performance. A lot of activities will have to follow up personally.

- Very political - HR boss is very BIASED and not efficient - HR girls are followers and not doers - Policies not clear - Management thinks non-management staffs' issues are NOTHING - Unfair treatment given by HR based on the relationship you have with them - Promotions and bonuses are given based on how much your boss likes you and not actually on your performance - Career Opportunities are judged based on how likable you are in the office In conclusion, win over the heart of HR and your boss, you'll go high up in this company.

Coordination, service quality . Traffics problems / taxi issues and some F&B are too expensive

- Office politics are very strong and toxic. - Some colleagues will sabotage your work just for personal gain. - HR girls are not helpful and sometimes very inefficient in carrying out their duties.

you have so many reporting heads, all of them like to scream and shout at you. they have dinosaur mindset. you have to travel frequently between their malls and when u want to claim, they always try to limit it. the worst part is just they have no leniency at all, small little mistake which is a human error will get your ears bleeding and falling off at the end of the day. when you take MC for genuine illness (that came from working there) you will get silent treatment for being sick
