Pros

- some of the best people i worked with, little to no office politics - good pay for an intern position - ceo gets icecream, fruits, and lunch sometimes - gym with basic equipment (squat/bench press rack, dumbells, kettle bells) - flexible with employees working from home

Cons

- employee onboarding is not the best, few months in and i still cant say i understand 100% how all features of our products work - not the best pay when converted to full time, taking into consideration the high workload. Other small tech companies offer the same pay range for far less work and better WLB - higher ups not the best at estimating deadlines, tho extra time will be given if you're not able to finish before the deadline - does not give out free premium spotify accounts as stated in the job listing -Expected to complete training materials before the first day without compensation for the time spent

Pros

No hierarchy present, so inter-department processes and certain approval processes are much faster than in big corporations. The pantry is constantly refilled and full, readily available for everyone in the office. Salary is quite high for an internship position. Office attire is casual. I would totally recommend this job if you are a fast learner and able to deal with deadlines after deadlines. Office politics are minimal, and colleagues are very friendly and helpful. Hiring is based on merit (as it was in my case), and not based on qualifications - which is a trait quite rare in many companies.

Cons

Working hours are 8-5 (definitely not for night owls). Onboarding process and documentations were not readily available when I was hired, and many things were still being laid out properly, so you are expected to be very quick on your feet by checking official documentations, by google-ing, or referring to existing code so that there's uniformity in the code. One of the senior devs can be quite intimidating, but at the end of the day, he's doing his job and not paid to teach you to work...

Operations

Pros

- Flat hierarchy, no politics - Colleagues/team is friendly, good dynamics, people are definitely not a problem here - Some incentive to help you grow in your role, like book/courses claims - Barely any OT is needed although sometimes some replies are expected after work hours, but generally the bosses don't impose unless it is really urgent - Relaxed environment where there's a gym and chilling space. If you're really tired on some days, you can just excuse yourself to get a quick nap to catch up on sleep

Cons

- Being a startup where the business is constantly finding better ways to improve, there are bound to be uncertainties with some roles. There will be new problems that surfaces once in a while, and you'll need to do some research and give suggestions on how to best solve it. Tbh, I'm not sure if this is a con, cause it encourages creative problem solving together as a team. It is a con if you are not good with uncertainties. - Because the company is still growing, there could be new roles or shifting of responsibilities. So if you're used to fixed roles and would only do what's in your JD, this place wouldn't be suitable.

Tech intern

Pros

- friendly and chill people - hands on on a lot of different projects - learning a lot - boss is understanding and chill - can gaslight the product manager - fun internship - ZERO politics

Cons

- none. Only if you're lazy, want to do zero work, want to be stagnant, or don't want to learn. Period.
