Long working hours and no work life balance

- You have almost no control on any infrastructure - Most tools and system are managed by third parties - Everybody is an exception and everything is treated differently - Lots of clics of people. Beware of who you talked to as it can get you in trouble.

Horrible PTO to start. Only 10 days vacation for the first 5 years

Workload is to much to handle

Really low salaries, old school mentality. Don't offer hybrid roles. Way behind another companies of similar size.

The pay is lower than the average in the industry

Nothing is good here your manager calls you in nights

upper management doesn't know how to communicate with employees. a lot of people who doesn't know what they are doing or know what's going on. a lot of miscommunications

Pay and amenities could be improved

Only 1 day WFH, very boring, work life balance is not the best, doesn’t feel fulfilling

Nothing as major concern if you willing to work honestly

Higher management run their departments like feudal lords. they don't want to get into the details - practical problems or its solutions. let problems remain to justify their jobs and salaries. No initiative to establish processes.

Workload is not reasonable, long hours and work on weekends is common. Travel is too much. The department head is aggressive and has bad interpersonal skills.

Sika provides pay range on LinkedIn but during interview, the Talent Acquisition person said ingnore those ranges they are high…BEWARE!!

A lot bosses or micromanaging

Very big company, had some challenges moving up.

Honestly no cons with my time at Sika. Perhaps other companies may have higher base salaries but salary is not everything.

Conservative Business Model Missing Leadership with regards to Sustainability

I learned from experience that I could not trust the leadership team. I witnessed how the leadership team, in particular HR, made promises when they needed staffing and terminated those same staff after they found replacements at a cheaper rate.
