Free lunch and breakfast, but quality is not good. Many days not enough food. EPF employer contribution ok. Medical ok. Got sleeping area. But all these just small things to attract staff and excuse to give low salary. Once a year annual dinner.
1. Low salary, and lowball new joiners but claim to be in top quartile of payers. 2. The CEO recently abolish fixed work from home, very backward thinking and only prioritises profit profit profit. 3. Bonus very low with the new bonus cap introduced, if meet expectations max is 2.4 months, if exceed expectations (which is nearly impossible to get) is only pathetic 3 months. Most people get max of 1.5 to 2 months. Increment also low 4-5.5% a year on average. Very low for oil and gas company that makes more than RM500mil net profit a year. They just being cheap and stingy, to further enrich Lim Dynasty. 4. CEO always mention at townhall about how bloated the organisation is, so that is the reason why they give low bonus/salary. He always say we not efficient - again another scarcrity mindset statement. Here we are expected to double hat or do higher level job at same low salary. 5. With the new global job framework, the number of job grades reduced substantially, so it is now much harder to be promoted, and the bosses make it incredibly tough to be promoted, but the maximum promotion increment is only a paltry 13-15% - again insincere promotion as it is given together with annual increment, so in reality less than 10% increment for a promotion. Staff demoralised and demotivated. 8. It may be a MNC, but because it is owned by Lim Dynasty, they are not forward thinking. Very stingy and just think about profit and not welfare of staff. So it is a pseudo MNC coz it is Msian-founded. Don't be fooled. It may seem MNC, but it's run with local mindset. 9. Yinson Greentech is a waste of money losing bleeding money which cause bonus for all to be so low. 10. Retrenched/lay off so many Yinson Greentech staff earlier in 2025, with very minimal severance paid (2 months salary that's it). 11. Very difficult to have career progression due to favouritism and nepotism among bosses. Some boss discriminate based on various criteria like gender, age, race. 12. Lack of transparency to staff, like on the purported privatization exercise which came out in media. 13. Budget cuts on staff welfare - low chance of biz travel, no department makan session, no teambuilding sessions 14. Work stress high and not commensurate with salary.
