Is an MBA from a Malaysian university valued by employers?

UM and UPM carry weight locally. For private sector, local MBA is less impactful than a UK/Aus MBA or just more experience.

UIE and APU MBA programmes have decent employer recognition locally at the mid-market. Do your own research per industry.

For GLC promotions to Grade 54 and above, a Master's is often explicitly required in the JD. Worth doing for that path.
