Which Malaysian companies are actually generous with dental and optical benefits?

Dental and optical are often listed in benefits packages at comically low limits. RM300/year for dental sounds like a benefit, one filling and you're done.
From what I've gathered from colleagues: companies with notably higher-than-average dental/optical coverage include PETRONAS, Maybank, and a few large MNCs in the pharma and financial sectors. RM1,500–2,000/year for dental and RM500–800/year for optical appears to be the upper end in Malaysia.
Startups are increasingly offering flexible benefits accounts (FBAs) where you allocate a fixed budget across categories including dental, optical, fitness, and mental health. This model is more employee-friendly than fixed category limits.
If dental health matters to you (it should, it's linked to overall health), ask specifically about limits before joining. Don't assume "dental coverage" means anything meaningful until you see the number.
