Role Summary
The Lead Engineer, Hardware Design is responsible for leading and managing the design and integration of complex systems. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product development throughout the system life cycle.
Job Description
In this position, the Lead Engineer will oversee day-to-day operations, guiding a team in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions. The work environment is primarily an office setting, with occasional travel and potential weekend or holiday commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of hardware solutions across multiple domains.
- Collaborate with engineers, customers, and project leadership to define requirements and specifications.
- Manage relationships with vendors and partners to ensure project success.
- Conduct research on system ideas and propose modifications as necessary.
- Perform tests and simulations to validate system performance.
- Analyze data and recommend improvements based on findings.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
Masters degree preferred.
Around 8 years of related experience in similar job roles.
BS/EE with 5+ years of FPGA/CPLD development experience.
Familiarity with hardware architecture concepts and schematics.
Solid Verilog RTL and test bench coding skills with good coding style.
Experience with development tools including Xilinx ISE and Altera Quartus.
