Job Description
The Senior Lead Engineer, Design Quality role is responsible for managing and monitoring product quality throughout the entire product life cycle. This position involves applying quality management practices across various functions, including design, supplier management, manufacturing, and customer issue resolution, particularly for switch, storage, and server products. The role supports the generation and application of quality plans, reviews product quality data, and engages with internal and global quality teams to address quality cases and resolve customer issues using quality tools.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years in similar position.
BS in Electrical Engineering or related major area required.
In-depth knowledge of quality metrics, ISO standards and processes.
Understanding of HPS business models and product development framework and processes.
Good knowledge of Quality Management tools including: 8D/RCCA (FMEA) and development of Quality Control Plans.
Strong Project Management Skills.
Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external case stakeholders.
Ability to use some or all of the following PC applications: Google Applications, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Prior participation in quality management is desired.
Product testing related experience is desired.
Strong ability to shift from one task to another to address changing priorities.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working with a minimum of supervision in a dynamic team environment.
Good interpersonal skills: be able to communicate effectively with members of other teams, departments and clients; as a high degree of liaison is needed.
