
The Account Assistant role involves supporting daily accounting operations including data entry, managing accounts receivables and payables, and assisting with monthly account closings. The position requires handling invoicing, purchase orders, bank reconciliations, and liaising with auditors and tax agents to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
The role involves assisting in daily accounting operations such as data entry and filing, handling accounts receivables and payables, and ensuring timely closing of monthly accounts. Additional responsibilities include issuing invoices, purchase orders, quotations, and cheque payments, performing monthly bank reconciliations, and liaising with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on audit, tax, and secretarial matters. The position also requires ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, monitoring company expenditure against budget and cash flow, and supporting ad-hoc finance functions and activities.
Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 1 year of related experience will be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL Accounting system equivalent.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin as a plus for communicating with Mandarin-speaking clients.
