Role Summary
The Accounts Associate - Room Income Audit is responsible for performing daily income audit functions for hotel rooms. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate accounting records and maintaining internal control procedures.
Job Description
In this internship, you will engage in daily audits of room income, ensuring that all revenue is accurately recorded. You will work closely with the finance team and operational personnel to address any discrepancies and maintain financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily income audit functions for hotel rooms.
- Ensure complete and correct recording of all room income in accounting records.
- Prepare Daily Sales Journal and Daily Exceptional Report.
- Report breaches of internal control procedures to the Assistant Finance Manager.
- Prepare reconciliation and analysis for Trade Debtors Account, Guest Ledger, Advance Deposit Ledger, and other assigned General Ledger Codes.
- Liaise with operational personnel regarding variances in income audit.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
Job Requirements
Possess minimum SPM / LCCI / STPM / 'A' Level / Pre-U or Diploma / Certificate in Accounting / Finance / Banking or ACCA / CIMA / MICPA Level 1 or equivalent.
Possess computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Able to write and converse in English.
Possess good disciplinary records.
