Role Summary
The Food Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations. This role involves maintaining HACCP and ISO certifications while conducting inspections and microbiology tests to safeguard food quality and safety.
Job Description
In this position, you will assist in the implementation of the Food and Safety Management System (FSMS) within the F&B operations. You will conduct microbiology tests, coordinate sample testing, and perform on-site inspections to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining HACCP and ISO Certification for F&B Operations.
- Conduct microbiology tests in the Food Safety Laboratory for food and environmental samples.
- Coordinate sending selected samples to external laboratories for chemical/biology tests.
- Conduct on-site inspections of the food production chain for compliance.
- Attend to food poisoning cases and conduct investigations for immediate rectification.
- Implement corrective actions based on inspection findings.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to enhance food safety practices.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Study, or Microbiology.
Preferably 1 year of experience in the related field with knowledge of Food and Safety Management System.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
Confident and possess strong interactive skills with internal and external parties.
Good knowledge of computer software applications and report writing skills.
