CMA CGM Malaysia, a global leader in shipping and logistics, is seeking an Application Support Specialist to enhance application availability and quality across the APAC region. In this role, you will report to the Head of Business IT Applications and lead technical projects, ensuring alignment with business goals while driving application standardization and modernization. You will leverage your development experience in Java and .NET to improve operational efficiency and support business objectives.
As part of your responsibilities, you will oversee day-to-day application support activities, lead incident management efforts, and coordinate with various teams to ensure compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong sense of innovation to identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in software application development and support.
Proven hands-on experience in Java, .NET, and Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps and Power Automate).
Strong technical expertise in application layers, design patterns, APIs, and cloud systems.
Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, web development, and API/microservice development.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong troubleshooting abilities and effective issue resolution track record.
Experience in the Shipping Industry is a plus.
