
The Assistant Cook cum Baker is responsible for assisting in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining food quality and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
In this role, you will assist in various food preparation tasks, including chopping, dicing, and marinating ingredients, while ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. You will also be involved in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, supporting the lead cook in daily specials and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution.
Food Handling certification (preferred).
Hands-on experience in creating menus from scratch.
Previous experience as a kitchen assistant, line cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
