
The Assistant Manager - Procurement will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement function by sourcing and acquiring goods and services. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective vendor management and procurement operations.
The Assistant Manager will support the procurement function in sourcing and acquiring goods and services for the organization. Working closely with the Procurement Manager and internal business stakeholders, the role will help identify suitable, high-performing vendors, develop clear specifications and business requirements, and manage the end-to-end purchasing process. The Assistant Procurement Manager will contribute to supplier evaluation and performance management, risk mitigation, contract and compliance adherence, logistics coordination, and cost optimization to ensure efficient, reliable, and value-driven procurement operations.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years' experience in procurement or purchasing
At least 1 year experience of leading junior staff members
Preference for those who have experience leading or supporting procurement strategies across two or more major spend categories
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and resolve procurement and supplier-related challenges
