Role Summary
The Assistant Manager, Safety & Health is responsible for leading and providing expert advice on safety, health, and hygiene practices at construction sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a safe working environment for all personnel.
Job Description
In this role, you will oversee daily safety operations at construction sites, ensuring that all safety policies are effectively implemented and adhered to. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and health within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Oversee compliance with statutory safety requirements at construction sites.
- Manage liaison with safety enforcement authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Review and analyze safety performance reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
- Identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Supervise and mentor safety personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
Registered Competent Safety & Health Officer with DOSH.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Safety & Health, Environmental Management or related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in construction safety and health.
Strong knowledge of local safety regulations.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Willing to work flexible hours.
Willing to be stationed at Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.
