Role Summary

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of building facilities. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.

Job Description

The Building Maintenance Technician will engage in daily maintenance tasks, performing checks and repairs on various building systems. The technician will work closely with the property management team to ensure all facilities are in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform periodic checks on electrical equipment and pump motors.
  • Record and report on the condition of building systems.
  • Attend to minor repairs in common area facilities.
  • Maintain minor defects across electrical, plumbing, and carpentry categories.
  • Replace faulty minor electrical components and light fittings.
  • Keep proper records of mechanical and electrical parts changes.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Building Supervisor or Manager.

Job Requirements

Relevant technical education or trade certification.

Experience in building maintenance and repairs.

Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Physical ability to perform hands-on work.

Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Must be willing to work in Penang island.
