This role is for a Buying Team Leader based in Johor, Malaysia. The position involves coordinating material purchases, resolving supply issues, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth production processes.
This role involves planning and procuring materials to meet manufacturing needs for assigned projects and customers. The position requires reviewing requirements to procure materials by project dates, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring material availability for production. It includes communicating with suppliers, addressing material shortages, maintaining system accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production and supply chain activities.
Diploma or Degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
At least 5 to 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar field.
Knowledge of manufacturing and procurement processes.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
