Chemist – Spectrum Laboratories Sdn Bhd

The Chemist is responsible for conducting both routine and non-routine chemical testing on water and wastewater samples. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with environmental standards and maintaining the quality of water resources.

In this position, the Chemist will engage in daily laboratory activities, performing various chemical tests and operating specialized instruments. The work environment is dynamic, requiring attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and non-routine chemical testing on water and wastewater samples.
• Prepare reagents and standardize calibration standards.
• Perform sample preparation, digestion, and extraction according to established methods.
• Operate laboratory instruments such as UV-VIS, Discrete Analyzer, and Bomb Calorimeter.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and worksheets in compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
