Job Description
SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification company, is seeking a Chemist to conduct testing according to SOP and QA/QC procedures in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to group HSE safety procedures, establish and review laboratory operating procedures, and maintain documentation of all quality manuals and procedures.
The Chemist will be responsible for reviewing test results and reports, ensuring accuracy in proficiency testing, and complying with local health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to reporting hazards and maintaining good laboratory practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in Chemistry or related field from recognized university/college.
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in relevant analytical laboratory.
Good personality, independent, and a team player.
Ability to understand required test standards/procedures.
Good communication and written skills in English and/or local language.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience in oil testing or agriculture analysis is an advantage.
