This internship role is for a Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst at Seagate in Johor. The position involves supporting factory security and establishing best practices within a dynamic work environment.
Job Description
This role is based in Seagate's Johor facility, specializing in Aluminum and Glass Substrate manufacturing, where the IT organization focuses on ensuring factory endpoint security to meet global standards. The intern will collaborate with engineering and support teams to evaluate current security standards, document best practices, align with global information security metrics, and maintain compliance through inventory and analysis of factory endpoint security.
Job Requirements
Familiarity with major operating systems including Windows, Linux, and IoT platforms.
Understanding of security aspects and patch processes for major operating systems.
Possess analytical skills for assessing endpoint security compliance and responding promptly to compliance requirements.
Basic knowledge of network OSI layers.
Hands-on experience with recent operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux.
Experience with security scanning tools like Tenable SecurityCenter is advantageous.
Knowledge of networking essentials in multi-VLAN networks.
Experience in vulnerability management and security compliance analysis.
Understanding of security patch processes on operating systems.
Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related field with a focus on cybersecurity is beneficial.
