Data Scientist at DFI Retail Group - Petaling Jaya

This role involves leading the development of machine learning models and integrating AI solutions across various platforms. The Data Scientist will play a crucial role in optimizing AI functionalities and driving data-driven decision-making.

We are looking for a seasoned Data Scientist with 5-6 years of experience to lead the development and integration of advanced machine learning and generative AI solutions. This role will bridge our core data infrastructure with a diverse ecosystem of AI tools, focusing on building and optimizing models on Google's Vertex AI while managing integrations with external platforms such as Tencent and SymphonyAI. A significant aspect of this position will involve leveraging GenAI expertise to enhance sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) functions for our proprietary AI Agent, aiming to push the boundaries of insights generation and automation of complex tasks.

Key responsibilities include owning the complete lifecycle of machine learning models, designing and deploying predictive models, conducting rigorous hyperparameter tuning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust AI solutions. The ideal candidate will also provide mentorship to junior data scientists and champion best practices in MLOps and model documentation.
