Job Description
The Technical Solutions Specialist role within the Centre of Excellence (COE) focuses on driving enablement and adoption of the EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) solution. This position collaborates closely with sales teams to provide deep technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting, and support for successful implementation of EAE to customers and partners. The role demands strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders while supporting the entire project development lifecycle involving EAE. Key responsibilities include providing pre-sales technical expertise, acting as a technical subject matter expert for customers, supporting sales growth through solution architecture and demos, engaging closely with industrial customers and partners to tailor solutions, leading proof-of-concept projects, and developing best practices and technical documentation. The specialist supports training and technical advocacy initiatives to promote EAE and represents the company in industry forums. The role requires approximately 30-50% travel.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT programming, or Code development.
Embedded Software Engineer background with a strong IT focus is advantageous.
Well versed in IIOT and the convergence between IT and OT.
Experience with object-oriented programming, Windows and Linux development environments, Docker/Kubernetes/Swarm, virtualization, event-driven methodology, and C# programming for HMI integration.
Networking experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN, managed switches, routers, and communication protocols such as TCP/IP-based Modbus, EthernetIP, Profinet, HTTPS, and MQTT.
Experience in programming languages including C/C++, Python, and JavaScript is advantageous.
Ability to apply code development and design system/solution architecture for industrial applications on factory floors and plants for controlling equipment and processes.
Hands-on knowledge of industrial protocols including Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, and PROFINET/EtherNet/IP.
Deep expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/DCS, and industrial networking.
Extensive experience in designing and deploying large-scale automation solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts for engineers, customers, and executives.
Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging both technical and business audiences.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in automation solution development and programming.
