The Field Engineer (Network Infrastructure) is responsible for conducting on-site network audits and supervising vendor works. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance network infrastructure reliability.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in daily fieldwork, conducting network audits and overseeing vendor activities to ensure adherence to established standards. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external vendors in a dynamic environment focused on maintaining and improving network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site network audits to assess infrastructure performance.
- Supervise vendor works to ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address network issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors such as data center providers and ISPs.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes.
- Implement improvements to enhance network reliability and performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in structured cabling, ISP installation, or telecom fieldwork.
Valid driving license and own transport.
Strong understanding of structured cabling standards and metro connectivity.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
