Job Description
The Global Network Management Engineer (Monitor & Control) at Motorola Solutions is responsible for implementing proactive network management strategies to predict and prevent service disruptions. This role involves utilizing AI and advanced network management tools for network analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive criticality to ensure high availability and resilience of the global network infrastructure. The engineer will manage and maintain network devices and systems across multiple regions and collaborate with cross-functional teams while participating in on-call rotations for emergency network support.
Job Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level network management.
2 years experience working with LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches and network configurations.
Experience working with Security & Firewall systems.
The position is based in Penang, Malaysia.
Extensive practical experience with a wide range of network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Cisco SD-WAN, ThousandEyes, nGeniusPULSE.
Ability to communicate effectively with team, managers and employees at all levels.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
This role will need to be ready to support global timezones [EMEA/US/APAC].
Certifications such as CCNP, or equivalent.
Proven experience in deploying and managing AI/ML-driven network management platforms.
Strong understanding scripting for use of network automation and Net DevOps (e.g., Ansible, Python).
Experience with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Demonstrated ability to design and implement a global network monitoring architecture to allow stable availability and good response time to any region.
