Role Summary
The L3 Production Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-level production support for Payments applications on AS400. This role operates within a newly established technology center in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on incident management and collaboration with various teams to ensure system reliability.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in day-to-day production support activities, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with business users and L2 teams. You will also be involved in application maintenance and performance tuning to enhance system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes in alignment with ITIL best practices.
- Troubleshoot COBOL/RPG applications and DB2 databases.
- Collaborate with business users to resolve technical and functional issues.
- Support application maintenance, upgrades, and releases.
- Perform performance tuning and system monitoring.
- Mentor junior support engineers to enhance team capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL-based support environments.
Job Requirements
6 to 9 years of experience in Application Maintenance / Production Support (L3).
Strong hands-on expertise in AS400 (COBOL/RPG, DB2, OS/400).
Good understanding of Payment systems.
Proven experience in ITIL-based support environments.
English language proficiency at C1 Advanced level.
