Role Summary
The Legal (Commercial & Operational Contracts) is responsible for providing legal support and advisory services to business divisions within the Maxis group. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance and support operations in dealings with third parties.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage with different teams, particularly in consumer business and sales & services, to understand their legal needs and provide sound advice. You will work in a dynamic environment that requires critical thinking and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for commercial and operational contracts.
- Advise business divisions on compliance and legal matters.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with third parties.
- Conduct legal research to support business decisions.
- Assist in resolving legal disputes and issues.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the business.
Job Requirements
Degree in Law (LLB).
Minimum 15 years' experience post being called to the Bar.
At least 3 years in a private practice with a leading law firm.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
