Role Summary
The Merchandiser/Buyer is responsible for identifying potential products for development and negotiating with suppliers. This role impacts the overall sales performance by managing weekly targets and executing promotional plans.
Job Description
As a Merchandiser/Buyer, you will engage in daily activities that involve product selection, supplier negotiations, and sales management within a dynamic retail environment. You will also conduct store visits to ensure optimal conditions and support special projects aimed at enhancing sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential products for development.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Prepare monthly reviews of product performance.
- Manage weekly sales targets to drive revenue.
- Support day-to-day operations of the merchandising team.
- Ensure execution of promotional plans effectively.
- Conduct store visits to monitor product conditions.
- Support special projects aimed at improving sales.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or Master's Degree in any field.
At least 3 years of working experience as a buyer/merchandiser or equivalent.
Customer-focused with strong oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence as a team player.
Ability to manage complex and competing priorities.
Possess own transport and able to work in Maluri, Cheras.
