Role Summary
The Merchandising Manager - Product Development is responsible for leading the development of imported fashion products and the TOPVALU Softline private label. This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, and data analysis to ensure a successful product assortment and strong supplier partnerships.
Job Description
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations related to product development, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to drive the merchandising strategy. You will analyze sales data and market trends to inform buying plans and product assortments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of imported fashion products and private label items.
- Develop annual and seasonal buying plans to optimize product offerings.
- Plan category structure and ensure a balanced assortment of products.
- Analyze sales data to inform merchandising decisions.
- Identify and develop new overseas suppliers and vendors.
- Build strong partnerships with overseas factories and agents.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
More than 5 years of experience as a Merchandising Manager, Buyer Manager, or in a relevant position.
Proficiency in Japanese is an added advantage for managing overseas suppliers.
Ability to commute and work at AEON Headquarters in Taman Maluri.
