Role Summary

The Assistant Manager, Pricing is responsible for conducting product pricing while managing financial and operational risks to ensure profitable, sustainable, and competitive pricing in the market. This role significantly impacts the company's takaful model and profitability measures through effective pricing strategies and product implementation support.

Job Description

In this role, you will engage in day-to-day pricing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while guiding junior team members. You will also enhance pricing processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product pricing analysis to manage financial and operational risks.
  • Support quotations for tailored group employer schemes.
  • Produce product submissions for regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Guide junior team members in pricing methodologies.
  • Enhance pricing processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide timely product implementation support and perform system testing.
  • Support actuarial needs related to product materials and system development.
  • Liaise with retakaful operators on pricing, product design, underwriting, and claims management.

Job Requirements

1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in pricing or valuation.

Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

Good progress in Actuarial professional examinations (IOA/IOAA/SOA).

Competent in actuarial software (ideally Prophet) and Microsoft Office applications.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
