We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage the supply of mechanical components and OEM parts through external manufacturing partners. This role requires strong technical expertise and commercial acumen to drive sourcing decisions in a fast-paced environment.
As a Procurement Engineer, you will collaborate with contract manufacturers and internal teams to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality performance. Your responsibilities will include strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to support new product introductions and material readiness.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in precision machining or similar environment
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and machining processes
Proven negotiation skills for cost reductions and supplier terms
Experience in supplier localization and onboarding
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Willingness to travel internationally (15-20%)
Knowledge of machining cost modelling and ERP systems is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Mandarin and/or German is an advantage
