The Production Planning role is responsible for supporting the planning of production schedules for designated products. This entry-level position operates within a structured environment, collaborating closely with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient production processes.
Job Description
In this role, the Planning Associate will engage in daily tasks that involve consolidating customer forecasts and managing production schedules. The position requires close supervision and adherence to established procedures while interacting with various stakeholders in a typical office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning of production schedules for designated products.
- Consolidate customer forecasts and validate Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Manage parameters and align customer purchase orders with production.
- Coordinate shop order releases and identify parts shortages.
- Track shipments and provide Return Material Authorization approvals.
- Assist in End-of-Life product analysis.
- Perform tasks under close supervision while adhering to established procedures.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Zero to two years of relevant experience.
Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals and scheduling techniques.
Understanding of purchasing principles and techniques.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn specific departmental applications.
