Job Description
In this position, you will engage in daily activities that involve analyzing construction drawings and specifications to derive necessary material and labor costs. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting various aspects of project management and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
- Support contract document preparation and administration.
- Implement cost control measures throughout the project.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a construction cost management system.
- Assist in evaluating subcontractor bids.
- Participate in site visits to monitor progress and work quality.
- Maintain organized project documentation.
Job Requirements
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Proficient in cost estimation and analysis of construction costs.
Experienced in quantity takeoff and precise measurement of materials and labor.
Knowledgeable in contract management principles and practices.
Skilled in cost control techniques and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
