Role Summary
The Safety and Health Officer (SHO) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Company's Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Management System. This role involves ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local regulations while promoting a safe work environment.
Job Description
In this position, you will engage in daily activities that include liaising with authorities and internal teams to address ESH matters. You will also conduct audits, provide training, and manage project-level ESH implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the ESH Management System.
- Liaise with relevant authorities to resolve ESH matters.
- Conduct internal audits and awareness briefings.
- Provide training and coordinate field support.
- Participate in Workplace ESH Committee Meetings as Secretary.
- Promote ESH awareness across the organization.
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports on ESH statistics.
Job Requirements
Must possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
Must have a valid Green Book.
Candidates with a CEPSWAM Certificate will be given priority.
Must have more than 5 years of experience in the ESH field.
