The Safety & Health Assistant is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health regulations. This role involves conducting inspections and supporting various safety-related activities within the organization.
Job Description
In this position, you will engage in daily inspections of factories and hostels to ensure adherence to OSH standards. You will also assist in various legally mandated activities and collaborate with local authorities to enhance safety measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of factories and hostels to ensure OSH compliance.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating SHC meetings and DOSH audits.
- Perform HIRARC assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor pest control operations and analyze safety data trends.
- Coordinate with local authorities for Emergency Response Team (ERT) drills.
- Address utility issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support audits for certifications such as Halal and HACCP.
Job Requirements
Professional Certificate or Degree in OSH Management recognized by DOSH.
Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and DOSH requirements.
Skilled in conducting HIRARC, SOP development, and safety inspections.
Ability to perform data trend analysis for occupational safety reporting.
Effective communication skills for liaising with government and local authorities.
